The trust center
Everything here is checkable.
Honesty isn’t a value statement on this site — it’s the product. Every number traces to a primary source, every promise has a mechanism behind it, and nothing about you is tracked or sold. This page is the map: each commitment below, where it lives, and how to check it yourself. If something doesn’t hold up, the last section is how you call it out.
The promises
Five guarantees a rented platform structurally can’t make — each tied to the mechanism that makes it true, not a pledge you have to take on faith. What we never do →
Where the numbers come from
Every figure in the library is sourced inline in a collapsible cite drawer — external research to its primary source, operating-floor numbers to public vendor docs or labeled as operator experience. The full sourcing-and-dating policy is on Methods, and the externally-verifiable claims are published as a machine-readable ledger you can check, each paired with its source and the date it was last verified. Methods & sources → · The claim ledger →
The Cost Index, shown honestly
The Cost Index publishes a wholesale reference price only when public U.S. data supports one — measured levels and directions, never a forecast, never a delivered or retail price dressed up as a quote. The method, the per-ingredient sources, and the verified track record are all open, and the data ships CC0. The method → · Per-ingredient sources → · The basket →
How AI is used
AI drafts and triages; it never trains on your data, writes the things you read unattended, fakes a review, or answers your message as if it were me. The named stack and the hard limits are on the record, dated. AI policy →
Your data stays yours
The tools run in your browser — the numbers you type never reach a server. No third-party tracking, no ad pixels, no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. The specifics, the legal version, and the short cookie list are all written down. Data & security → · Privacy → · Cookies →
Receipts, not reviews
Proof here is measured outcomes and dated work, not a wall of five-star testimonials. An aggregate rating appears only once real, named reviews exist to back it. The receipts →
What changed, and when
Corrections aren’t quiet. Every meaningful change to a page or a promise lands in the changelog, dated — so you can see what moved and when. Changelog →
Built to be used by everyone
The site targets WCAG conformance — keyboard paths, contrast, and full narration on every chart through its data-audio-alt. The conformance posture is written down, not assumed. Accessibility →
How it’s all kept correct
The live view of the machinery behind these promises — the automated gate every change clears, the daily data refresh, and the Cost Index’s verified accuracy record — is the status page. Status & reliability →
If something doesn’t hold up
A claim that doesn’t resolve, a number that looks off, a promise that isn’t being kept — that’s the most useful message you can send. don@muntin.digital or The Window →. I read every one; corrections show in the changelog within two business days.
