Module 1 of 4 · Lessons 1–3 of 16 · About 35 minutes total

Orient — your name, your cuisine, your promise.

Three short lessons that move you from a blank page to the first real version of your site. You finish Module 1 with a working home page that says who you are, what you cook, where to find you, and why anyone should care. Modules 2–4 build on it from there.

If you want to do it in one sitting, set aside about 35 minutes. If you'd rather do one lesson a night, three nights is the same thing.

Lessons in this module

1

Welcome — type and see

~5 min

Type your restaurant's name, cuisine, and address. Watch the first version of your site appear to the right as you type. The dopamine hit of building something real, in under 60 seconds.

2

What a site that books tables actually does

~20 min

A diner pulling up your site at 7:42pm on a Tuesday is trying to answer one of six questions. Which one matters most for your kind of restaurant? Rank them yourself. The answer shapes every choice in the rest of the bootcamp.

3

Your one promise

~25 min

Every restaurant that lasts has one promise — the thing customers tell their friends. Compare three styles of how to phrase it, then write yours. By the end of the lesson, it's on your live preview, in your voice.
