Restaurant website design, handled by one person.
Custom websites for independent restaurants in Silver Spring, Bethesda, DC, and the DMV. Menus that update in 30 seconds, reservations that don't get lost, and the online-ordering link your Google profile is missing.

Your restaurant website is quietly
losing you money.
Every week, a few would-be customers open your site on their phone at 7 p.m., can't read your menu, can't find your hours, can't book a table, and quietly tap over to the restaurant next door. You'll never see the loss — but it's there.
The typical restaurant site
- Menu is a PDF that won't open on iPhone
- Hours are wrong or hidden three clicks deep
- Reservation form emails a Gmail nobody checks
- Photos are grainy, sideways, or missing
- Loads slowly on 4G — and Google notices
What customers actually want
- Read the menu on a phone without zooming
- See hours, address, and parking instantly
- Book a table or order delivery in two taps
- Feel the vibe from the photos
- Trust you — before they even walk in
What Muntin builds
- Menu pages that load fast and stay current
- Reservations that land in your inbox — or Resy
- Online ordering wired to your POS, not against it
- Google Business Profile that actually converts
- One person, start to finish, long after launch
Test your palette in five seconds — for free.
Drop your logo into Brand Suite. It extracts a palette, grades the WCAG contrast on every pair, and exports a shareable Muntin Pane — a single PNG you can email to a designer or post next to your menu. Runs in your browser; nothing uploads. The Pane, the contrast grid, and the CSS tokens all transfer straight into a paid engagement, so the first 30 minutes of brand work are already done before we talk.
Everything a restaurant website needs —
and nothing it doesn't.
Every build starts with the same six things. We only add complexity when your restaurant actually needs it.
Menus that update in 30 seconds
No more PDFs. No more calling your nephew. Update a price, add a special, or swap a dish from your phone in under a minute — and the site re-renders before you close the tab.
Reservations that come to your inbox
OpenTable, Resy, Tock, or a lightweight built-in form that emails you and your hostess stand — your choice. We wire up whatever your existing workflow already trusts.
Online ordering that doesn't eat your margin
Toast, Square, ChowNow, or a direct checkout for pickup — integrated so a hungry visitor can go from your menu to checkout in three taps without leaving your brand.
Google Business Profile that works
Most restaurant traffic comes from Google Maps, not organic search. We set up and optimize your Google Business Profile so you show up in the local pack when someone nearby Googles "best [your cuisine] near me."
Fast mobile pages, under 2 seconds
Your customer is standing on a sidewalk, hungry, on 4G. If your homepage takes four seconds to load, you lost them. Every Muntin build hits sub-2-second mobile load out of the box — and we measure it.
Photos that make people hungry
A responsive gallery that treats your food, space, and crew the way they deserve. Bring your own photographer or we'll recommend one in the DMV — either way, the site is built to show them off.
A palette that works everywhere
Your brand colors should read on a menu, a sign, and a phone screen — not just in the logo file. We document palette + contrast pairs as CSS tokens alongside the site, so every surface stays legible and recognizable.
Based in Silver Spring.
Serving restaurants across the DMV.
Muntin Digital is run out of Silver Spring, Maryland — which means if you're a restaurant owner in Montgomery County, DC, or Northern Virginia, you're working with a neighbor who actually understands the market you're competing in. We also work remotely with restaurants anywhere in the US.
Pricing that fits a real
restaurant's P&L.
Three tiers, priced for independent operators, not restaurant groups. Every build launches complete and ready to stand on its own. Care Plans come later — when you want me on call as your restaurant grows.

Four steps. Two to ten weeks.
Same person the whole way.
No project managers, no design handoffs, no "your developer will get back to you." Every conversation is directly with Don.
1. Conversation
A 20-minute Zoom call. I ask about your restaurant, your goals, the parts of your current site that drive you crazy, and the parts that actually work. You ask me anything.
2. Menu & brand review
I audit your menu, your photos, your POS, your reservation workflow, and your Google Business Profile. You get a short written plan that says exactly what we'll build, what we'll integrate, and what stays the same.
3. Build & launch
I design and build in weekly visible chunks — you see real progress every Friday. We launch together when it's ready, on your timeline, not a sprint board's.
4. Care & updates
Optional Care Plan: menu updates, seasonal specials, new photos, performance monitoring, and security patches. Same person who built it, forever — or until you decide otherwise.
Straight answers
for restaurant owners.
Which POS systems do you integrate with?
Toast, Square, Clover, Lightspeed, and Revel are the common ones. For online ordering we also work with ChowNow, direct Stripe checkouts, and a few smaller menu-first tools. If you tell me what you're on, I'll tell you honestly whether it integrates cleanly or not.
Can I update my menu myself?
Yes — that's the whole point. You log in from your phone, change a price, add a special, or swap a dish, and the site re-renders in seconds. No code, no tickets, no waiting for a developer.
How do you handle reservations?
OpenTable, Resy, Tock, or Square Reservations embedded cleanly — or a simple built-in form that emails you and your hostess stand. Whatever workflow your team already trusts, we wire up around it instead of replacing it.
What about online ordering?
Two routes. Handoff: a clean button that sends customers to your existing Toast, Square, or ChowNow storefront. Direct: a built-in checkout that runs through your own payment processor so you keep the margin. We help you pick based on your order volume.
Do you help with Google Business Profile?
Yes — setup, photo optimization, hours, menu link, and category tuning are included in every build. Most small restaurants are getting >60% of their new customers from Google Maps, not organic search, so this is usually the highest-ROI hour of the whole project.
How much does a custom restaurant website cost?
Essentials starts at $2,500. Most restaurants land in Full Service at $5,000–$9,000. Multi-location or groups with POS integration needs run $8,000–$15,000+. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices — you see the number before we start.
Do you only work with restaurants in Silver Spring?
No — Muntin is based in Silver Spring, MD, but we work with restaurants across the DMV (Montgomery County, DC, Northern Virginia) and remotely with restaurants anywhere in the US. Local clients get in-person kickoff and photo sessions if they want them.
How long until my site is live?
Essentials launches in 2–3 weeks, Full Service in 4–6, Multi-Location in 6–10. Only two active builds run at a time, so the schedule is real — not a placeholder that slips.
